Pursuant to the terms of the Revenue Sharing
Agreement, the towns of Edson and Hinton
presented a letter to council declaring where the
funds were utilized. Hinton`s funds ($1.9 million)
were used to offset mill rates. Edson split the
funding ($5.1 million) between policing costs, a
utilities project, and reserves for future capital
initiatives. Council accepted the Revenue Sharing
Agreement accounting from the Town of Edson
and the Town of Hinton for information purposes.
