Parkland Wrestlers dominate at competition

SPORTS The Parkland Composite High School Wrestling
The Weekly ANCHOR submitted by Coach Edmondson

Team competed in the Sir Winston Churchill Classic
tournament in Calgary this last weekend.
Parkland wrestlers showed well against some of the
toughest completion in the southern half of the
province. Amy Hill placed fifth in a very deep draw.
John Pfeifer wrestled well all weekend and finished
second in his weight. As did rookie Steven Johnson,
winning silver and bringing home his first medal ever.
The rest of the team continued to develop and show
well.
Our next tournament will be in Lethbridge February
26 and 27. This is the Rural Provincial Championships
where the best wrestlers in rural Alberta compete to
bring home the team title. Good luck Pacers!
