Spectacular swims

for Orcas at Trials

The Edson Orcas, who had their qualifying times
to attend Age Group Trials in Sherwood Park
February 19 to the 21, swam fantastic.
There were six Orcas that had their times and
trained very hard to best those times. It was the last
chance to move on to Championships in Calgary a
couple of weeks away. The old saying 'you win,
you're in' is the truth for these young athletes.
This was Tori Krushell and Josina Kennedy's first
time attending Trials. The nerves were running a
little out of control but they swam very well in there
age groups.
Kennedy, in the eleven and twelve year old age
group, swam great in her 50 and 400 free but her
best swim was 50 breast. Krushell was in the ten and
under age group and took off time on all seven
swims. Her 100 back time was destroyed by 14.31
