Peers Multiplex

grand opening

by Adrienne Tait

The grand opening for the Peers Multiplex was
held on January 30. Approximately 80 people
attended the event which Mayor Gerald Soroka
called, “Very successful considering the people that
had to brave the roads.”
The project, which took approximately a year and
a half to complete, boasts a seniors area, curling
rink, community centre, fully equipped kitchen
area, and bright viewing area.
“It has quite a warm feel,” said Soroka, “It's very
aesthetically pleasing with lots of windows and
glass that allows you to see right through the
building.”
