Town severs Lions Park agreement



Town preparing for a federal grant that would revitalize the park

During the regular Tuesday council meeting, held
on June 16, town council voted to sever their
agreement with the Lion's Club regarding the Lion's
campground on the east end of Edson.
Several Lion's Club members were present and
voiced objections and concerns that the club had not
been notified of town concerns and had only learned
of the intent to sever the agreement in a letter dated
June 10.
Lion's members were not asked to present before
council and were permitted to speak only during the
public question time at the conclusion of the
