Kindergarten friends at Mary Bergeron School

Mrs. Redman's kindergarten students were
gracious hosts as they proudly shared their
classroom and centers with their new grade 8
buddies. This was the first of several meetings
that will be taking place over the school year at
alternating school locations. October 30 issue
The purpose of this project is to allow Pine
Grove students an opportunity to give back to
the community, learn about mentoring, and an
opportunity to be a good role model to the
kindergarten students.
As the two classes get to know one another,
PASSPORT PHOTOS & MORE the grade 8 students will author a picture book
specialized for their kinder-buddy, and it will
be presented to them in June as a gift.

forward to their next visit December 6 where
Pine Grove will host the Mary Bergeron
Students for our Snow Carnival.

Grade 8 Emerson Millard is 10 years old and attends grade five
students from in the Westhaven French Immersion program.
École Pine Emerson says, "It is kind of cool being able to speak
Grove Middle and understand two languages. Right now my favorite
School subject is French grammar. I enjoy getting out and
visited their going for quad rides, ski-doing, biking and on my
Kindergarten scooter. My favorite color is red, and if I could travel
friends at any where in the world I would go to Mexico. I want
Mary to be a paleontologist when I grow up."
